We’ve all had someone not call us back, but rarely do we get the opportunity to hear how different people (especially crazy people) deal with it.

Well, these might be two of the funniest voicemail messages I’ve ever heard (I’ve been told that they’re real, but who knows?). They star Dimitri the Stud, who clearly thinks pretty highly of himself, and is flabbergasted that the lady of his affections hasn’t responded to his messages.

Just listen for yourself. I don’t want to ruin it.

Funny how the viral-web works, I just got this audio file in email form about twenty minutes ago.

Well, he does possess a certain “confidence” if nothing else. And women like confidence, right? Marina ladies, keep your eyes peeled for that dashing Greek movie writer who gets approached by women 6 to 7 times a day but only has a discerning eye for non-psychotic elegance! Got to admire a man with standards.

LeRoy – Yes, I do believe this file is making the rounds.

I think my favorite part is that he gives her a “deadline” to call him back. I’m sure she RUSHED to the phone!

I had to get the heck out of the area…elegant women are rare, I’m Greek…

    Haha. Full of great quotes!

“Believe it or not, I’m a complete catch.”

  5. thesoniashow Says:

Hey, I need to call this guy back before the deadline expires and I lost his number. Can you help a single sister out?

  6. The Dating Lame Says:

Well, Sonia, you must be elegant if Dimitri is interested…He’s quite a catch, you know.

  7. thesoniashow Says:

What?!? You sayin’ I’m not fuckin’ elegant or something?

  8. Gentleman? A real gentleman asks a woman for her address, then writes her a message that says much the same.

  9. Timmy Says:

    Aren’t all greeks like that?

This makes me so grateful for all the perfectly normal guys I meet! Although now that I think about it, the Greek men who have been interested in me have tended to be a bit over the top. In only 4 1/2 minutes, Dmitri manages to be admiring, controlling, understanding (if her mom has cancer), judgmental (if she has mental-health issues), resentfully obsequious (when he tries to persuade her of his good qualities in the 2nd message), and utterly and completely stuck on himself.

I would *LOVE* to know what this guy’s life is like. (I’m pretty sure I know why his long-distance romance didn’t work out.)
